If I Spoke to Myself Today

If I could speak to myself today,
I wouldn’t explain.
I wouldn’t analyse.
I wouldn’t diagnose the feeling.

I would say:

Stop.
Breathe.

Why do you doubt yourself so quickly?
Why do you trust every outside voice before your own?

I’ve been here the whole time.
Watching.
Waiting.
Holding what you couldn’t yet hold alone.

You keep asking to be seen —
by people, by systems, by stories that promise clarity.
But I’ve seen you all along.

You want to be understood.
Of course you do.
That’s human.

But what hurts isn’t that others didn’t see you.
It’s that you stopped seeing yourself.

You’re not angry at them.
You’re angry because you abandoned your own knowing —
again and again — to survive.

And still, this wasn’t wasted.

This was the test.
The long one.
The quiet one.

Learning the difference between guidance and noise.
Between love and approval.
Between truth and the stories built around it.

You’re not late.
You didn’t miss it.
You didn’t fail.

You’ve arrived.

Not somewhere new —
but back to yourself.

And that’s enough.

Welcome home.
